This show starts out with the villagers doing everything in their power to stop everyone's favorite half-demon from getting the Shikon No Tama.  They fail miserably, and he breaks into the small building where the jewel is.  The villagers follow him an shoot arrows at him.  Their arrows knock over several lamps and the building explodes seconds after Inuyasha explodes through the roof.  He tears off into the woods, but then Kikyo appears on top of the

staircase and shoots him with an arrow, pinning him to the tree.  Kikyo stumbles down the stairs to where the jewel has fallen after Inuyasha dropped it.  She leaves a trail of blood behind her, and she kneels down and picks up the jewel, telling kid Kaede to see that it is burned with her body.  Then we meet Kagome, a modern day girl, living on her family's shrine with her mom, little brother, and grampa.  Kagome sees her little brother going into the ancient well, and follows him because he isn't allowed in there.  Inside, as she stands in front of the well, a demon named Mistress Centipede drags her into the well.  After a brief fight where Kagome uses mysterious magical powers to blow one of Mistress Centipede's arms off, she lands in the bottom of the well.  After she climbs out, she realizes that something isn't right because the shrine is gone.  She wanders into the woods and catches sight of the ancient tree that had been in her family's shrine.  She runs to it, but instead of finding the shrine, she finds Inuyasha arrowed to the tree.  Kagome can't resist playing with

Inuyasha's ears, and while she's there, the villagers come and tie her up and take her back to the village where everyone thinks that she's a ogress or a kitsune.  After everyone figures out that she's not a demon, Kaede feeds her and apologizes.  Then Mistress Centipede attacks the village, and Kagome runs, trying to lure her to the Bone-Eaters Well.  Then, Inuyasha wakes up and says he can smell Kagome coming.  Kagome ends up falling down at the base of the tree, and Inuyasha insults her a couple times.  Then Mistress Centipede attacks again, but this time, the villagers shoot her with arrows and pull her away.  Kagome argues with Inuyasha and then Mistress Centipede breaks free from the villagers and grabs Kagome, who uses her pink magic again and blows off all of her arms.  Then, the jewel everyone wants explodes out of Kagome's stomach.  Mistress Centipede swallows it and plasters Kagome against Inuyasha on the tree.  Kagome pulls out the arrow, and breaks Kikyo's spell, though it was supposed to hold forever.  Then Inuyasha kills Mistress Centipede using his Iron Reaver Soul Stealer and Kagome and Kaede remove the jewel from Mistress Centipede who dissolves into bones.  Kaede informs Kagome that only she may possess the jewel and gives it to her.  Then we learn that Inuyasha is not a hero when he threatens to kill them if they don't give him the jewel.  The end.
