This is the monster who pulled Kagome through the well. We are shown that she must have been previously dead,
though it's beyond me how she came back to life, seeing as none of the monsters ever do that. She, like most demons,
wanted the Shikon no Tama to become all-powerful. Unlike most other demons, however, she actually possessed the jewel
for a short period of time until Kagome released Inuyasha and he shredded her. The jewel was removed from her body before it's
regenative properties could reanimate the dead centipede woman. Her body then disintegrated to bones, and the bones
were carried to the dry well from whence she came before. She makes her rise and fall in the first episode, and as far
as I can tell, never returns again, though Kagome occasionally remembers her encounter with Mistress Centipede.
