The show starts out, like so many, with Inuyasha fighting someone.  In this particular show, it happens to be Hiten.  They goad one another for a few minutes then the start their batle.  Kagome pushes Manten off the cloud when he decides he's going to help his big brother out and hit Inuyasha with a lightening attack.  The cloud, which belongs to Manten, dissappears, and Kagome falls to the ground, sort of, she actually lands on Manten, which saves her from being injured.  Manten gets up, and chases after Kagome.  Shippo jumps up and uses his fox magic to conjur up some illusions that save Kagome.  Manten freaks out when his very last hair falls out because of Shippo's killer top.  Kagome and Shippo decide to try and take him out, so they devise a plan to trick him.  Shippo transforms into Kagome and when Manten grabs him/her, Shippo ties him up with his/Kagome's hair.  Kagome runs out and grabs the arrow out of Manten's nose and prepares to stab it into the jewel shards implanted on Manten's forehead.  She misses (how could you miss?  It was right there!!!)  Manten attacks her again, and it distracts Inuyasha, who loses Tetsusaiga because of it.  Hiten and Inuyasha goad each other some more.  Inuyasha gets injured in the shoulder.  Manten is now choking Kagome (I don't think he's worried about his hair potion right now).  Shippo jumps up and attacks Manten, sinking his baby teeth into Manten's fleshy neck.  This most likely saves Kagome because for a moment, Manten stops choking her hand she's able to catch her breath.  Inuyasha retrieves Tetsusaga and throws it.  It stabs through Manten, saving Kagome and Shippo.  Hiten and Manten have a touching good-bye (you almost feel bad for them, then they get all weird and you don't anymore).  Hiten cries and swears to kill Inuyasha, and takes Manten's shards.  Hiten and Inuyasha then continue their fight.  Inuyasha doesn't have the sword right now because when Kagome ran from Hiten after Manten was killed, she dropped the sword because she was trying to carry Shippo's father's fur also.  Inuyasha has to use the sheith because he's otherwise unarmed.  Inuyasha is gettin tired by now, and seems to be losing.  Then, Kagome finds the arrow she had been going to stab Manten with.  Shippo turns into a bow so Kagome can shoot the arrow.  She shoots one of Hiten's flying wheels off, and Inuyasha grabs Hiten's pike and throws the sheith away (can you say dumb???) and lands a particularly powerful punch right on the side of Hiten's face.  Hiten flies across the battle area and hits the side of a cliff.  Now he's not just vengeful, he's also super peeved.  He and Inuyasha fight some more.  The sheith is starting to crack!!!  Hiten is sure he's winning, and turns, using Manten's lightning attack (remember he took Manten's shards, so now he has the power of Hiten plus Manten), and blows up Kagome and Shippo.  They're bodies are seen laying in the mids of the flame that followed the attack.  Inuyasha, striking out in his grief and anger (he thinks they're dead, dudes), defeats Hiten when the sheith (which is about to break) summons the Tetsusaiga.  The souls come to bid a final farewell (says Myoga, the wise, all-knowing, never wrong flea), but Inuyasha grabs Kagome's hand through the misty blue flames.  Yeah, it appears they're not so dead, after all...  I guess foxfire shot out of the fur of shippo's father and protected them.  Well, the trio moves on, but Inuyasha is more than a little surly ("In a moment of grief, Lord Inuyasha may have refealed more than he bargained for." says Myoga, the always right, all-knowing flea.) and they move on.
