Demon exterminaters are one of the deadliest of peoples out of Inuyasha's world. They are humans, not demons,
and they train from birth to be skilled warriors. Exterminators fight in groups of friends and family and are a formidible
foe for who or what ever they've decided to kill. Sango is the demon exterminator in our group. She uses a giant
boomerang to slay demons. Weaker demons, she is able to slice in two when she throws it, and it also does a nice job
for wacking people with. However, when she throws it at more powerful demons, it simply bounces off harmlessly.
It's also useless if she doesn't catch it, as she finds out when she fights Inuyasha. Now, I'm sure you're wondering why Sango isn't fighting with her family. Well, the truth of the matter is that
Naraku (I hate him I hate him I hate him) tricked her family into coming to his evil castle where he used a demon to slaughter
her family. While the finest demon exterminaters were being exterminated at Naraku's castle, he told an army of demons
to slay Sango's village. They do so with relish. He then buried Sango and her family, and said that he was sorry that
it had happened. (NOTE: At this point, we are led to believe that Naraku is called Kagewaki and that he's a good
guy and a minor character). Out of all the characters on the show, I think it's Sango I feel the worse for. Not
only did Naraku slaughter her family and bury her for dead, when she managed to dig herself out of her shallow grave, he fed
her a lie about it being Inuyasha who slew her village. Sango goes off and tries to kill Inuyasha, but the gang shows
her it was Naraku who tricked her and she joins their team. Everything's great now, right? Wrong! As if
that isn't enough, Naraku then brings Sango's little brother, Kohaku back to life and erases his memories and uses him like
a killing machine. He also commands him to kill Sango. This is Sango's one and only weakness against Naraku.
Naraku holds the life of her brother in his hands and Sango is willing to betray her friends to save him. In my opinion,
this makes Sango a less likeable character simply because she wants to do everything herself, rather than asking the gang
for help. This is a dangerous thing. Miroku and Sango are destined to be together, so it is written in the sticky
stars on my bedroom ceiling. Anyway, Sango's pet/warbeast is Kirara, a little cat/fox/dog/lion demon. She's Sango's
loyal companion. Sango is a part of the group for good it seems, and she is a valuable, and powerful, fighter.
