Kikyo was a powerful priestess fifty years ago encharged with the protection of the Shikon no Tama. She and
Inuyasha fell in love and over time, decided that they would like to be together forever and that Inuyasha would use the Sacred
Jewel to become human. However, on the day they were to do this, Naraku attacked them first attempting to kill Inuyasha
while impersonating Kikyo and then impersonating Inuyasha and mortally wounding Kikyo. Inuyasha then tried to steal
the Shikon no Tama and returned to his orriginal plan, to become all demon. Kikyo used a spell and bound Inuyasha to
an ancient tree, but died moments after of her wound. The jewel was burned with her body and later reappeared inside
Kagome's body. Kikyo is brought back from the dead by an evil witch, and tries to kill Inuyasha again but dissappears,
falling off a cliff. She later gives another appearance and is now using demons to feed on souls to keep from dying.
