This is the super stupid, incredibly dumb and evil toad
monster. I haven't been able to find what his name is in English, so we're sticking with the Japanese name for now.
In the show, this toad posesses the husband of Princess Tsuyo, a minor character who Nobunaga happens to be in love with.
The toad had been collecting the sould of girls across the countryside and storing them in giant green bubbles until their
souls "ripened" (whatever that means) and then would eat them, though he was destroyed before he could enjoy it, and all the
girls were saved. The toad is the ninety-ninth toad of the ninety-ninth generation and therefore has more powers than
the average toad, not that they help him much against Inuyasha and Kagome. The toad was driven from the young Lord's
body by a makeshift flamethrower (and they say hairspray isn't dangerous) and promptly slain by Tetsusaiga and Inuyasha.
