Well, this show marks one of the few times that we can actually see some emotion on Sesshomaru's face . . . sort
of. It's emotional for him. Naraku, as usually is really gross and since in the last show Sesshomaru basically
got completely surrounded by bits and pieces of Naraku as he slashed him to pieces. Naraku is planning to absorb Sesshomaru.
So, the little yucky Naraku blobs creep around him and slowly cover him up. Sesshomaru doesn't really do much . . .
he doesn't struggle, that is. He just stands there. Weirdo. Jaken is of course pretty upset about all this.
He tries (with little effect) to fight off some of the pieces of Naraku, but it doesn't work and they chase him. Woooo.
yay Jaken.I'm so impressed. Kagura had been sent to hold Inuyasha off. She doesn't really put much effort into
it and he gets past her pretty easily, especially when she bails and lets minor demons take after him. She's still hoping
that Naraku will get killed and she'll be free. Anyway, so she lingers behind, following Inuyasha to see if he's going
to kill Naraku. She's a good and loyal daughter, I swear. By this point, Sesshomaru is entirely engulfed.
It looks really gross. Of course, Inuyasha shows up and whips out his Tetsusaiga and does his (can you guess can you
guess) Windscar. Naraku shields that attack. Inuyasha grunts. Naraku's okay. Well, there comes another
Windscar. This one breaks through the barrier. Naraku looks a little like hamburger by now . . . Nonetheless,
he's very cocky. Kagura says that Sesshomaru must have been entirely engulfed. She realizes she has overestimated
Sesshomaru's power. Naraku, of course mocks Inuyasha and says he's surprised that he's gotten this far. Inuyasha
attacks him . . . they fight some more . . . squishing noises . . . more fighting . . . Then Inuyasha gets caught
and Naraku wraps him up. Naraku reveals that he's caught Sesshomaru and that he's in the process of absorbing him as
they speak. Of course, Naraku gloats some more and says that he's going to absorb Inuyasha, too, although he's not sure
what good hanyou blood will do for him. But, of course it turns out that Inuyasha is stronger than Sesshomaru.
Windscar. At this point Jaken is crying. It's kinda sad, really. Then, as the windscar light fades, we see
that Sesshomaru isn't dead. He was just standing there like a doofus. Now Sesshomaru and Inuyasha start
arguing over who gets to kill Naraku. Naraku, by the way, looks like he's been through a blender. Then Naraku
starts fighting again and suddenly Inuyasha and Sesshomaru are fighting together. Its a pity that they never got along
because they made a pretty cool team. This is followed by more Naraku maiming. Sesshomaru gets him good with Tokijin
and suddenly Naraku turns into miasma and bails. Pansy. Sesshomaru's eyes turn red and he gets ready to transform.
Of course, Naraku says taht he should go get Rin because he's going to tell her guard to kill her. Of course we all
know that Kohaku is Rin's guard. Naraku makes a specific point to tell them that the guard is Kohaku. Sesshomaru flies
away. Inuyasha catches Jaken and makes him tell the whole story. Back at the cabin, Naraku has taken over Kohaku's
mind again. Big surprise there. The rest of the crew (Sango, Kagome, Miroku, Shippo, Kirara) are fighting the
demons outside the little cabin where Kohaku and Rin were staying. Of course, Inuyasha shows up after he gets the info
he wants from Jaken. Then Kohaku and Rin run out of the house and Kohaku takes off on a big demon beast (like the one
that Sesshomaru has) and they fly off. Inuyasha chases after them. Inuyasha realizes that when Sesshomaru finds
them, he'll kill Kohaku just to punish Naraku. Kohaku's being controlled. He and Rin are no longer on the demon
best but are now walking through this field. Suddenly he snaps (Naraku's power). He chases Rin through this field,
trying to kill her. So he lays her down in front of him on the grass and raises his weapon over his head. You
can practically hear Naraku's voice commanding "KILL HER! KILL HER!" He's struggling with the voice in his head.
Sesshomaru shows up at this point while he's holding a very sharp and deadly object over Rin. Wow, great timing.
Kagome and Inuyasha show up then. The timing these people have is incredible. Kohaku stops attacking Rin and goes
after Sesshomaru. Kagome picks Rin up. Inuyasha disarms Kohaku and then Sesshomaru grabs Kohaku around the neck.
He mocks Inuyasha saying something along the lines of, "I had no idea you were so concerned for my safety." Inuyasha
threatens Sesshomaru if he hurts Kohaku. Sesshomaru is ignoring him, but he looks into Kohaku's eyes and sees that they're
soulless. He releases him. Kagura suddenly appears and takes Kohaku away. Kohaku was trying to die.
They thank Sesshomaru for not killing him, but he just says that he let him go to spite Naraku. I'm not sure I entirely
believe that. Sesshomaru's getting to be as soft and fluffy inside as the creepy boa on his shoulder. Rin runs
off with Sesshomaru. Everyone thinks about what they've been through. We switch scenes againa nd Kikyo is at Naraku's
old castle. She's stunned when she realizes that she can't sense his barrier. Naraku's just vanished! Dum
dum dum . . .
