First of all, I need to explain. This is probably my
favorite episode that I've seen so far. I've seen about thirty of them, so I'm by far no expert, but this is my favorite
out of those I've seen. It starts out with our trio of Shippo, Kagome, and Inuyasha boating on a little stream.
Then all of a sudden, a girl is being attacked by some kind of big hairy demon arm and falls off a cliff (what is it with
minor characters falling off cliffs?). Inuyasha jumps up and saves her, but then she flips out and starts threatening
him and they both fall in the water. In the next scene, Inuyasha is complaining about being wet while Kagome talks to
the girl. The girl, Nazuna, tries to climb up the cliff
wall, but falls on her head. Kagome insists that they
help her, and they return her to the shrine where she lives with an old priest. The priest insists that they stay
the night and during the night, we begin to notice something isn't right with Inuyasha. First of all, the small building
they are staying in is surrounded by these demons (like the one attacking Nazuna at the beginning) called Spider-Heads (stupid
name if you ask me) and Inuyasha never noticed, his superscent was gone! The spiderheads invade the house and attack
Inuyasha, and cover him with spider webs. When he tries to use Tetsusaiga, it doesn't transform, and he's left fighting
with a crappy katana that couldn't cut paper.Shippo and Kagome get him out of there and they chill out by a tree in the
woods. When they pull the spider webs off of him, they see he's lost his dog ears and his hair is black! His claws
on his hands and feet were gone, too. Inuyasha was human! Myoga explains that half-demons lose their
superpowers once a moon, and become human. Then Nazuna
appears and informs us that her master (the priest) has been captured by the spiderheads, then Inuyasha goes after them, giving
Kagome the sword before he goes. How exactly he planned to fight, I have yet to figure out. As soon as he
gets there, the boss Spider-head, who is actually the priest and had been decieving poor Nazuna, bites him and pumps him full
of evil spider poison. Kagome, Shippo, Myoga, and Nazuna arrive and Kagome jumps up, uses the Tetsusaiga to cut Inuyasha
down, and drags him into a room, followed by the other three. After Kagome jams the Tetsusaiga into the door to protect
them, Myoga jumps up and sucks out all the poison (when he hits the floor, he's roughly the same size as Shippo). Then
Inuyasha says some really sweet things to Kagome, but I'm not going to tell you what he
says because it's so great you have to see it yourself.
(note: This is why it's my favorite episode, most likely.) Then morning comes. The Boss Spider-head breaks
through the wall and takes Shippo's jewel shards. Then it grabs Nazuna and plans to eat her. She drops the Tetsusaiga
and Inuyasha catches it. The demon drops Nazuna and grabs Inuyasha, but then the morning sun hits Inuyasha and he transforms
into his usual, oh so cuddly, self. I don't have a picture here, but it's pretty cool. Inuyasha continues to destroy
the boss Spider-head and all the little spiderheads die. When Kagome retrieves the jewel shards, we see that they've
all fused back together into one inside the demon's body. Then the gang drop Nazuna off at a village and continue
down the river.
